Hi Everyone!
It’s been a while since I've sent something out on here, thanks for sticking around! I've been scheming behind the scenes, and I'm excited to be relaunching this newsletter with a new structure, way more stuff, and a name that feels a bit more me.
Drumroll please… it's officially Pin Tucked! The name is a nod to both the technique and the fact that I can often be found writing and crafting in my cozy pajamas, tucked into bed. June is acting as a soft launch, so you'll likely see a few iterations of the logo pop up as I get everything set up. Bear with me!

Me 90% of the time
Here's what you can expect going forward:
Every month:
Unraveled: A deep dive into an editorial topic from the textile world. This week it's all about fabric manipulation: is embroidery destroying our clothes, and who is allowed to be dirty?
Stitch School: A detailed study and tutorial on an embroidery technique, including a video + written tutorial, a brief history of the stitch, and how using different materials can create different effects. This month's focus is Long & Short Stitch, a fundamental technique in crewelwork and silk shading!
Textile Artists You Should Know: Profiles on contemporary, up-and-coming textile artists, essential for building out your knowledge of the textile art world.
Loose Threads: A monthly round up of cool stuff I'm loving: interesting exhibitions, my current WIPs, style inspo, and more!
Grace's Guild: A monthly digital embroidery pattern with written instructions, picture instructions, and a video tutorial. It'll incorporate the stitch highlighted that month plus other core stitches, and I always aim to make the pattern great for both beginners and intermediate stitchers.
Other important changes:
You'll start to notice ads in each issue. These help me keep the newsletter going so I can keep as much of it free, or at least at an affordable entry price, as possible. My goal is always for everyone to be able to enjoy the art of embroidery as much as I do. (See an example ad below.)
Everything in June is free, my way of saying thanks for being here early. From July, a couple of issues a month (the patterns and stitch studies) will move to a paid membership, and I'll be opening a founding member discount for all who have been supporting me already (keep an eye out for this)! While I wish I could always keep things free, unfortunately, I do need to ensure I can keep the newsletter going consistently.
I've had some big life changes over the last 6 months, and while they've been a little crazy (like moving back to the U.S. from London after 5 years, yikes!), they've also given me the gift of time to turn this newsletter into something I've always dreamed of. I love writing and sharing the beauty of the textile art world with you, and I can't wait to start doing it consistently again. This new era will be the perfect blend of tutorials, cool embroidery patterns, and interesting tidbits. As always, I love your feedback, so please leave a comment or send me an email with any questions :)

Bad news is good business. Not everyone buys it.
Every morning, financial news follows the same script. Headlines panic, coverage catastrophises, and somewhere inside the noise is the story that actually matters — the one that tells you where the opportunity sits, not just where the fear is pointing.
Most sources have stopped looking. The alarm is easier to sell.
The Daily Upside was created by Wall Street insiders for readers who crave real insight over recycled anxiety. Five minutes of global business and finance, before the noise sets the agenda — just the facts, context, and analysis your decisions need.
Join 1M readers — including managing directors and principals at some of Wall Street’s largest institutions — who trust The Daily Upside to filter through the chaos.
The upsides are always there. We’ll find them before breakfast.
